All month Black History Month All Dining Halls All Month

Each Wednesday in February, Dining Services celebrates Black History Month by tracing the historical journey of okra and black-eyed beans (peas) to America. These prized American staples originated in Africa and were brought to the United States through the Atlantic slave trade between the 16 and 19th centuries.

Join us each week as we follow the journey of okra and black-eyed beans by celebrating regional cuisine and recipes -- starting first in Africa in Week 1, then on to the Caribbean in Week 2, to Louisiana in Week 3, and finally to modern-day Southern US dishes in Week 4.

Staff Appreciation Month

Enjoy March Madness Meals!  Dining Services is offering $5 all-you-care-to-eat meals for staff and faculty for the entire month of March. Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Bruceteria, Champs, Kitchen West and Mean Greens Café. Simply present your valid UNT ID card and pay $5 + tax at the door.
